Volunteer opportunity – Breast cancer

Breast cancer is the most common cancer amongst Palestinian women. But restrictions on freedom of movement for both patients and healthcare workers, shortages of essential medicines, and the fragmentation of the health system in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) are major obstacles to effective treatment and care. MAP has been working to support the development of Palestinian breast cancer care since 2017, striving to enhance quality of care and breast cancer management, through multidisciplinary medical missions, provision of essential equipment and supplies, theoretical and on-the-job training for healthcare workers, and supporting the development of systems of care and appropriate referral pathways.
